LIBERATE

Ginger face behind invisible bars,
a hefty load holds her down;
But never must you hide your scars,
or smile above a frown.

"Why this sudden concern for me,
why do you care if I frown;
No one cared till yesterday,
when I was about to leave this town."

"It's still not late,
please don't make haste;
You can always change your fate."

"The sun goes down,
but it comes back up;
as vibrant as a clown."

"They'll see me withering back and forth,
but never raise a voice;
so I'll be stuck in these streets of Porth,
and ultimately have no choice."

"It's still not late,
please don't make haste;
You can always change your fate."

"The sun goes down,
but it comes back up;
as vibrant as a clown."

"They mock at me and call me names,
who cares about my feelings?
I feel my head hung down with shame,
my shoulders holding up the ceiling."

"It's still not late,
please don't make haste;
You can always change your fate."

"Just let me help you through this maze,
I promise you'll overcome it;
For dreams are meant to be chased,
and not buried up in a pit."

"I feel a spark light up inside me,
I'm ready to break the chains;
I owe you huge for reminding me,
that there's sunshine after the rains."

Hence I saw her unfurl her wings,
and fly high into the sky;
This is how I saw her flee
and thanked God she tried.
